The need for patience is almost gone these days. We live in a microwave, 1 hour photo, drive-thru society. We want what we want, and we want it now! Don’t get me wrong; I love our modern conveniences just as much as you do. But I’ve learned that these ideas and philosophies are of no value when it comes to directing your vision to what you desire. Rather, it’s a process. No matter what we do, we’re never going to be able to escape this process.
The problem with a lot of us is that we are quitters. If it looks or smells like a good amount of effort, you can count us out. And we must realize that we are robbing ourselves of the rewards of being faithful by that attitude of incompetency and impatience.
And, it is never good to blame your setbacks on others. This is because no one can take the power from you and stop you in your path to success… you must hand it over to them. Once you start arguing and complaining about the difficulty of the process, a cubit of your will is being handed over every time. Yeah it feels good to put the blame on somebody else, but it doesn’t change the fact that you’re not achieving anything.
So get up and do what you have to do. Decide that you don’t care how long it’s going to take. Say “I’m going to do this and that’s the end of it.”
